Archie LeRoy Van Patten: B: 17MAY1893 - Manlius, Onondaga Co, NY,
D: 20AUG1918 - Chateau-Thierry, France; Private, Co. F, 306th Infantry,
77th Division, A.E.F.  He landed in France on 02MAY1918 and was
killed
four months later by an exploding shell.  The Manlius, NY post of the
American Legion has selected the name of
Archie Leroy Van Patten post,
in honor of the brave young dispatch runner who lost his life at
Chateau-Thierry, France.

Captain, Medical Corps, 404
th Telegraph Battalion.  Service:
20SEP1917-03SEP1919.

Ernest Van Patten: B: 10MAY1889 - Marion Springs, Saginaw Co., MI,
D: 05JUL1971 - Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.  Resided: Grayling,
Crawford Co., MI.  He was a PVT (private) in the US Army, Co. C, 339th
Infantry.  Ernest was brother of Phillip Vern Van Patten.

Phillip Vern Van Patten: B: 22MAY1894 - Marion Springs, Saginaw Co.,
MI, D: 07MAY1959.  He was a PFC (private first class) in the US Army,
Co. C, 339th Infantry.  Phillip was brother of Ernest Van Patten.

George Milton Van Patter: B: 26APR1891 - Malahide, Elgin, Ontario,
CAN, D: 21OCT1969 - Yarmouth, Elgin, Ontario; He was enlisted in the
local militia but never saw duty overseas.

Homer Edgar Van Patter: B: 29MAY1898 - Malahide, Elgin, Ontario,
CAN, D: 18May1959 - London, Middlesex, Ontario; He was enlisted in
the local militia but never saw duty overseas.

Hugh Stanley Van Patter: B: 26NOV1892 - Malahide, Elgin, Ontario,
CAN, D: 08NOV1967 - Westmount, Quebec; He enlisted in 1915 and
served as a Lieutenant, Field Artillery, 3rd & 5th Division; He saw action
in the following battles: Somme, Vimey Ridge, Hill 70, Passchendaele,
Amiens, Arras, Drocourt, Canal du Nord, Cambrai, Valenciennes and
Mons.

John Allan Van Patter: B: 23JUL1889 - Malahide, Elgin, Ontario, CAN,
D: 08JUL1980 - N. Yarmouth, Elgin, Ontario; He enlisted in the local
militia but never saw duty overseas.

Robert Bruce Van Patter: B: 24MAY1896 - Malahide, Elgin, Ontario,
CAN, D: 30NOV1964 - Aylmer, Elgin, Ontario.  Bruce served in the 20th
Battalion, 33rd Battery and 46th Battery in France.  He fought in the
following Battles: Somme, Vimey Ridge, Hill 70, Passchendaele, Amiens,
Arras, Drocourt, Canal du Nord, Cambrai, Valenciennes and Mons.
